Lexettes - JuniorThe Lexettes are the Hayden Synchronized Skating Team’s junior level team. They compete in the second-highest division of competitive figure skating and participate in regional, national, and international competitions. The athletes are 16 to 18 years old and come from a number of different states. The Lexettes also welcome international skaters to try-out for the team. Each season, it is the team’s mission to win U.S. National Medals and qualify for the World Junior Championships.
The Lexettes have won Bronze Medals at the past six U.S. National Championships. They have represented the U.S. Figure Skating internationally as a Team U.S.A and have won medals in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
In January 2013, the Lexettes won the World Junior Team Selection Competition. In March 2013, they went on to represent the United States of America as Team USA 1 at the first Junior World Championships in Helsinki, Finland where they finished 6th.
The Lexettes give back to the community through their volunteer work and exhibitions. In the past they have volunteered at Atlas Fireworks’ Charity Golf Tournament, where they helped raise money for a local hospital, the Pan Mass Challenge which raises money for the Jimmy Fund and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, local Multiple Sclerosis Foundation functions and A Race for The Cure, helping to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation. The Lexettes have made appearances at the tree lighting at Bryant Park in NYC and at the Holiday Celebration in Downtown Providence, RI.
